166 selected for Madhvani scholarships in Uganda

KAMPALA, Uganda - The Madhvani Foundation has given out 166 scholarships worth Ush700 million to students for the Academic Year 2015-2016 with a 50million increase compared to last year.

There were over 2000 applicants and only 166 qualified for the scholarship which is an indication that more students are pursuing sciences. The board of trustees identified the disciplines of Agriculture Biology, Chemistry, Actuarial Science, Architecture, Veterinary Medicine, Commerce, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, Food Science & Technology, Information Technology, Environment, and Medicine to be offered under the scholarship.
